It's a fast-paced world, and managing stress is essential for maintaining balance and well-being. I am dedicated to empowering you with holistic strategies to tackle stress head-on.
Discover my top tips for effective stress management, designed to help you lead a healthier, happier life.
BREATHING
Breath has been a tool that has helped me so much when I am feeling stressed and overwhelmed. And it's something we can turn to at any moment! Deep breathing exercises to activate your body's relaxation response. Try this next time you are stressing out - 4:7:8 x4 (inhale:hold:exhale)
MOVEMENT
Move your body, yoga or walking, to release tension and encourage relaxation. Moving your body can help move stagnant and stuck energy, not to mention helping you become more mentally clear!
PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN
Connect to the present moment.Put your devices down and focus on your current surroundings. What are three things you can see? What are three things you can smell? What are three things you can hear?
EAT HIGH VIBE FOODS
Food is healing! Eat foods that calm your nervous system, such as avocados, nuts, leafy greens, dark chocolate, and smoothies! Anything highly processed (aka junk) will only lower your frequency.
MEDITATION
Meditation techniques (guided or in stillness) will help you stay grounded and focused in the present moment.
GROUNDING
Go outside in nature! It is a great cure for stress. Take a moment to centre yourself, lay on the grass, and put your feet on the earth's surface.
SELF LOVE
Sometimes, if I am overwhelmed, I do something to show myself love, like a sauna session, taking a longer shower than normal, or taking myself out on a solo date! Something that makes me feel good and giving time for myself!
MY DAILY PRACTICE
A game-changing breathwork sequence
Smell the roses, blow out the candles!
Your nervous system needs stillness to heal and thrive.
Your body needs more time listening to nature, being present while you eat, feeling the sun on your skin, listening and noticing your breath.
Your body needs fewer notifications, less screen time, fewer to-do lists & less pressure.
In a world full of 'busy-ness' and 'hustle' take a moment to create stillness or your body will at the most inconvenient time (sickness, injury, illness…. disease)
A moment to regulate your nervous system and to live in ease and flow rather than survival mode.
DO THIS TO GET BACK INTO ALIGNMENT
Alpha State Sequence: 6:6 x10 (inhale:exhale, repeat 10x)
The body expresses what the mind suppresses.
The power of the breath is vital for quality of life
This is why we incorporate guided meditation and breathwork into our Indi Active Retreats, as we know the physical and emotional benefits this can have on our guests' transformations.
Every morning during our Bali Retreat, we will begin our days with a guided meditation to ensure you start your day physically grounded and emotionally centred so you can make the most of your Retreat experience.
Experiencing a variety of meditations with simple breathwork sequences will equip you to manage emotions, such as anxiety, stress management, resourcefulness and brain fog after the Retreat.
